Okay, I know this will sound corny but I have always had a "kinda girl crush" on Jennifer Aniston. Yes, some might say she just does the same ol' movies and is rather plain but I think she looks amazing. Ever since I saw pictures of her on the set of the movie "Just go with it" wearing a crochet dress well over a year ago, I've been lusting over it. After doing some research, I found the dress on annakosturova.com which retails at $259. A little on the pricey side, I hope to scope out a wallet friendly option somewhere. I haven't had the time yet but am looking to make some posts on outfits on a budget..Soon to come!

Cela va paraître bizarre mais j'ai toujours eu une petite place dans mon coeur pour Jennifer Aniston. Peut-être parce que j'ai grandi en écoutant "Friends"..En tout cas...Les gens peuvent dire ce qu'ils veulent sur elle et ses films, moi je trouve qu'elle paraît extrêmement bien. Quand j'ai vu une des robes qu'elle portait sur le plateau de "Just go with it" il me la fallait. Je l'ai finalement trouvé sur annakosturova.com pour la "modique" somme de $259. Elle est vraiment belle mais j'espère trouver une version un peu sur le coté moins couteux disons. Je n'ai pas encore trouvé le temps mais j'aimerais bientôt faire des posts sur des ensembles sur un budget...À venir!

Le WeEKeNd...

So far in life, I have been fortunate enough to have many "In awe" moments where I just wanted to close my eyes and savour the moment forever. Yesterday was one of them. We took the coastal route up to Whistler and all I could say was wow. The mountains, the water..Everything was breathtaking. We stopped for many pictures along the way and had lunch in the village. I also managed to squeeze in shopping time. (Everything at The Gap, 40% off sale prices right now!) 

Already Monday...Where does the weekend go so quickly?

EyE CaNdY...

I have been looking for a new pair of sunglasses for a little while now, not in a very serious mode though since there is no glaring sun to hide from these days... I'm also really picky when it comes to glasses (both sun and prescription) but I really like this new Chanel collection that was designed with the everlasting collaboration of Karl Lagerfeld. (See sketch below) The branches were inspired by the classic Chanel purse and seem less tacky to me than the plastic models we see everywhere (To my taste but hey? Who am I to know).  

Je suis à la recherche d'une paire de lunette soleil depuis quelques temps. Rien de trop sérieux puisque le soleil ne se pointe pas vraiment le nez ces temps ci. Je suis aussi quand même difficile lorsque vient le temps de choisir des lunettes (Soit de soleil ou prescription). Je ne les ai pas encore essayé mais la nouvelle collection de Chanel, inspiré par les ganses de leur classique sacs à mains, a tout pour faire rêver. (On aura le verdique final lorsque je les aurai essayé).  

For those of you who did not notice, yes the model in the campaign is the lovely Claudia Schiffer. Is it me or she just keeps looking better? 

Ceux qui ne l'avait pas remarqué, la mannequin pour la campagne publicitaire est bel et bien la superbe Claudia Schiffer. Est ce moi ou elle ne fait qu'embellir avec l'âge?

My ThOuGhTs...On FrIdAy

I felt a little nudge of nostalgia this week..I'll admit it, sometimes when i'm at a restaurant and see a group of girls just hanging out, I get a little pang of jealousy and miss my own friends. I love B.C. and wouldn't trade places with anyone but hey, a girl can miss her friends sometimes right?! Right?! On Friday's I like sharing things I loved about the week so this week I thought I'd share these funny pics we took in Montreal I was keeping to myself for personal laughter.. :)    

Je me suis sentie un peu nostalgique cette semaine..Parfois lorsque je suis au restaurant ou à une autre place publique et que je vois un groupe de filles je ressens un petit coup de jalousie et je m'ennuie de mes propres amies. J'aime beaucoup Vancouver et je n'échangerais pour rien au monde cette chance mais une fille a le droit de s'ennuyer de ses "chums de filles" non?! La plupart des Vendredi je partage des photos de ma semaine et j'ai pensé partager ces drôles de photos prises pendant mon séjour à Montréal que je gardais pour moi juste pour rire :)

ThUrSdAy ReCiPe...SaLmOn CaKeS

{Pre cooked}

Lately I've been trying so many recipes, my bf has actually asked me where the "weekday" dinners have gone...My excuse: There are so many good looking food blogs and books that I've gone a little overboard..A little...Here is a pretty easy recipe to whip up, pair it with your favourite wine and a crisp salad for these hot Summer months. 


You will need:


1/2 Pound Salmon
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil
3 Celery stalks, diced (really small)
1 Red bell pepper, diced (really small)
1 Red onion, also diced (Really small)
1 Garlic Clove, minced
1/4 Cup of Parsley, preferably fresh
1 Cup bread crumbs (I always use Panko) 
2 Eggs, lightly beaten 


Here's what you'll do:


1. Bake your salmon in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
2. Once your salmon is totally cooled down, remove skin and flake it with a fork. Transfer to bowl.
3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and add: celery, pepper, onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Sautee until tender (10 minutes)
4. Let your veggies cool down then add the mix to your flaked salmon. 
5. Add your 2 eggs and bread crumb to your salmon and veggies. Mix.
6. Make patties (as you would with hamburgers), place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
7. Cook salmon patties in skillet, 3 minutes on each side and Voila! 


With these cakes I also made an artichoke tartar sauce and it honestly makes the dish. All you need to do is mix the following ingredients and top your salmon cakes:

1 jar of marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/2 mayo
1 tablespoon capers
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dijon mustard

FiFi LaPiN...

Fifi Lapin gets around in the Fashion industry...She's been named the world's most stylish bunny by Vogue magazine. Of course this "bunny" is fictional but she "wears" many coveted designers such as: Marc Jacob, Prada, Gucci, Cynthia Rowley just to name a few.. (Basically a dream wardrobe for many girls) At this point, I don't even look at the clothes (Okay..A little..) but just can't stop looking at how adorable she is! I really like fashion photographs/editorials but am becoming really fond of Illustrations lately..

Je vous présente Fifi Lapin..Fifi a été nommé le lapin lapine la plus "Fashion" selon le magazine Vogue. Fifi est un personnage fictif (Biensûr) mais porte les designers les plus convoités: Marc Jacobs, Prada, Gucci, Cynthia Rowley juste pour en nommer quelques uns. Je ne vais pas mentir, je regarde les vêtements (Juste un peu ;)) mais c'est plutôt Fifi que je trouve adorable. Même si j'aime beaucoup les photos en magazine, je me trouve un petit penchant pour les Illustrations ces temps ci...

TuEsDaY WeAr...

My work environment is pretty relaxed when is comes to dress code. I have already done the "black pencil skirt & blouse" and although it's fun at first, I got bored pretty easily and the girls at work let me in on a little secret (Jeans are the way to go). I wore my flowy skirt for the first time today as the sun has finally peaked out and although my day was hectic (I locked myself out for about an hour + was crazy busy to say the least) but how can you not smile when your wearing a zebra printed red skirt?  

Je suis chanceuse de travailler dans un environnement ou nous sommes pas mal libre lorsque l'on parle de code vestimentaire. J'ai porté jupe et blouse pendant mes trois premiers jours avant que ça "prenne le bord".   Aujourd'hui, comme le soleil a décidé de nous rendre visite, j'ai porté ma jupe rouge pour la première fois. Même si la journée = Chaos aujourd'hui, Comment ne pas sourire lorsque votre jupe arbore de petits zèbres?

You will hug your mother many more times than you will your father, he will always be there standing in the back, calling the discipline shots and making sure everyone has everything they need. He will also stand by the sidelines when your mother hugs and cries as you leave to discover the world on your own. But you will see in his eyes, the love and the tears that are held back that he will keep to himself.  To my Father, his love, strenght and the everlasting Faith he has had in me.

FrIdAy SmiLeS...

Finally Friday! The week started off slow but turned out pretty fun: I got free Rhianna tickets, then when I went to pick up shampoo at the drug store I found out they were having a makeover event (Turns out great as I was heading out that night) and today I received a basket of Dior products! I wish it were like that every week. Besides those freebies, here are the smiles of my week!

Enfin Vendredi! La semaine a été plutôt longue mais c'est terminée avec des cadeaux imprévus: Billets de spectacles pour aller voir Rhianna, une session maquillage gratuite et aujourd'hui j'ai reçu un panier rempli de produits Dior. :) Apart ces belles surprises voiçi les "sourires" de ma semaine!

RoAsTeD ShRiMp OrZo...

I made this succulent roasted shrimp orzo for dinner last night. All I can say is that it will become a staple in our summer dishes. It is full of flavour and really fresh! You can find the full recipe here

If this is how cavemen lived, I wouldn't mind living in that cave..This house is located (dug) in Filicudi, an Island located 20 miles from Sicily, Italy. Pictures are from dwellinggawker.com where you can browse thru the most spectacular house designs. Highly recommended!

Si les hommes de cavernes vivaient dans des caves de ce style, ça ne me derangerait pas trop trop disons d'y habiter... ;) Cette maison a été creuse a Filicudi, une petite ile pas trop loin de Sicile en Italie. Les photos proviennent du site dwellinggawker ou l'on peut trouver les designs les plus intéressants et comiques pour la maison. Pour les rêveurs, je recommande!
